As'ad ibn Zurarah (ra)

One of the six first Khazraj converts at Aqabah and among the earliest Ansar — the man who hosted Mus’ab ibn Umayr in Yathrib and in whose house the first Jumu’ah was held.

Role in the Seerah (EP 024–026)

• Among the first to carry Islam home to Yathrib after the First Pledge.
• At the Second Pledge he twice held down the Prophet’s ﷺ hand to warn the Ansar that the pledge meant war and death — “if you are ready that your necks meet swords, then pledge; if not, stop now” — a mark of his sober foresight.

Death

He died early — reportedly the first of the pledging Ansar to pass, soon after the Hijra. (Detail beyond EP 030 — added for continuity.)
