About this project

A companion to Sheikh Dr. Yasir Qadhi's Seerah lectures — a place to look things up, not a substitute for listening.

seerah.academy is a study companion for the Seerah lecture series of Sheikh Dr. Yasir Qadhi. The series runs to 101 episodes and covers the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from the world before his birth to his passing in Madinah. This site takes what is said across those lectures and lays it out as a reference work: one page per person, place, event, and concept, every page cross-linked to the others.

It is meant to be used while you follow the lectures — to look up a name you did not catch, to place an event on the timeline, to see who else was there, or to revisit a chapter months later without scrubbing back through the video.

This does not replace the lectures

It is a reference work, an aid — nothing more. The lectures are the actual teaching: the reasoning, the weighing of reports, the tone, and the lessons drawn along the way. A wiki page can hold the facts of an episode; it cannot hold a lesson taught. Watch the series, and use this site alongside it.

Watch the series The Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — the official YouTube playlist 101 episodes, in order.

The sources this is built from

Every page here comes from the ten transcript volumes of the series, published as PDFs on arqadhi.blogspot.com and taken from that site. They are listed below with the source IDs used in the Sources section at the foot of each article, so any statement on this site can be traced back to the volume it came from.

Built with AI — and therefore fallible

This platform was built with the help of very capable AI models: they read the transcripts, wrote the articles, and worked out the cross-references between them. That is what made a reference work of this size possible at all — and it is also the reason it may still contain mistakes. A name may be misspelt, a date misplaced, a report attributed to the wrong episode.

Sourcing rule The ten transcripts listed above were treated as the absolute and only source. No outside information was mixed in: nothing was added from the AI's own memory or general knowledge, and no other book, website, or source was consulted. If something is not in the transcripts, it is not on this site.

Found a mistake? Please write to info@seerah.academy — with the page and what is wrong, if you can. Every correction makes the next reader's copy better.
